Today I want to cover a recent book that I have picked up. Two Thoughts: A Timeless Collection of Infinite Wisdom by Jim O’Shaughnessy with Vatsal Kaushik. This is a collection of quotes that are intended to facilitate thought. There are classics that most know like Kahlil Gibran who said “If you love somebody, let them go, for if they return, they were always yours. If they don’t, they never were.” There are others like Francis Bacon’s “Man prefers to believe what he prefers to be true.” Even if we have never heard it before, we instinctually shake our head along in agreement with it. Jim has been posting these for years in either a tweet or newsletter, but I really enjoy having the physical book on a collection like this. I have enjoyed picking it up and reading a few every day. It has helped me train my mind to be more thoughtful and wisdom-focused. If this interests you, I highly recommend picking it up.
