What We Do

Effective financial planning is not a one-time event; rather it’s an ongoing process requiring full participation and commitment from both you and your financial planner. It’s more than just planning for your money - it’s planning for your life. We believe effective financial planning is accomplished by getting to know you, understanding your life goals, and crafting a comprehensive plan that fits you.

Our relationship is at the core of the planning process. We work with our clients on an ongoing basis rather than conducting a one-time, area-specific plan because as your needs change, so will your plan. Our relationship begins with a meeting to get to know you, identify your values, and understand where you want to go.

Not all goals are financial. We want to understand your life’s goals. For this reason, we dedicate the second meeting to discussing, identifying, and prioritizing those goals and thoroughly gathering the data, both quantitative and qualitative, to begin building your financial plan.

Following the discussion around your goals is a series of meetings to work through the financial planning areas applicable to you. Planning areas may include but are not limited to:

Your first year with Longview may look something like this.

Our clients are primarily business owners, professionals, and retirees who place importance on the majority, if not all, of the following values:

  • Honesty/Trustworthiness: Our clients value those who are honest and trustworthy and exhibit these traits in their own life as well. They are open with us about their goals and dreams and trust us to honor their openness by developing a personal relationship with them, putting their interest first.
  • Delegation: They believe in the value of trusting in the expertise of professionals and appreciate the candor and advice they receive from them.
  • Collaboration: They place importance on collaborating with others to achieve their goals and are looking for a team approach to their personal financial planning.
  • Commitment: Clients often work with us because they have a commitment and desire to make thoughtful decisions and think long-term. They understand that financial planning is a commitment of their time and their planning team’s time so they take an active role in the process.
  • Generosity: Many of our clients are philanthropically-minded individuals who think big, want to make a difference in the world, and feel the joy of using their wealth, talents, and experience to help others do the same.

Because we are a comprehensive financial planning firm focused on creating deep, long-term relationships with our clients, we do not offer one-time, area-specific financial planning.
