Erik is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor^SM and financial advisor on Longview’s Financial Planning Team. Erik is a natural problem solver and enjoys working with individuals to integrate their values and purpose into a plan to help them reach their unique version of success.

Before joining Longview, he spent 14 years working with the Department of Defense testing and developing systems to keep our warfighters and country safe in a variety of areas from electronic warfare systems to U.S. Army aircraft. While building his own personal financial plan, then helping family and friends, a passion for financial planning stuck. Seeing the difference financial decisions can make in a family’s over all wellbeing and happiness.

While still supporting the DoD full-time, Erik worked on developing his financial planning skillset through pursuing different financial courses and certifications on nights, mornings, and weekends from industry-leading schools such as the College For Financial Planning and University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and personal interactions with those applying those lessons with families and individuals.

Erik grew up outside of Kansas City, Missouri and misses KC Barbeque regularly. Erik is passionate about spending time outside, especially in some kind of adventure big and small, local and faraway, with his wife and two children and walking out a key family value of continuous learning for himself and the whole family. When Erik isn’t enjoying a family adventure, he enjoys being out on the kid’s sporting fields or finding a new local eat/drink spot with his wife. Erik is also a dedicated participant (To Finish is to Win!) in the local Huntsville Wild Thangs Trail Race series and the Frozen Goat 30k on the trails on Huntsville’s Monte Sano Mountain.
