Congratulations to Jeff Jones

Jeff was recently selected to serve on NAPFA’s South Region Board. The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) is the country’s leading professional association of Fee- Only financial advisors – highly trained professionals who are committed to working in the best interests of those they serve- which provides support and education for over 2400 members all over the country. He is also a member of the Philanthropic Advisors Network at the Community Foundation of Huntsville/Madison County and volunteers in the Huntsville community for causes including financial education and empowerment, as well as teaching and working with children and young adults to build character and values.

Congratulations to Andrew Gipner

Andrew was recently selected to serve on the Huntsville Hospital Development Council. In addition to this appointment, Andrew currently serves as the national chair of NAPFA Genesis, the community of next generation advisors that exists to facilitate professional growth, engage future leaders, and ultimately impact the financial planning profession. He is also an executive board member of the Southeastern Rett Syndrome Alliance (SRSA) and continues his involvement in Leadership Huntsville/Madison County’s Connect program.

Congratulations to Jessica Smith for Completion of the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® Designation

Jessica Smith has earned the Charted Advisor in Philanthropy® professional designation from the Richard D. Irwin Graduate School of The American College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. The CAP® program provides professionals in the nonprofit and financial services fields that work with individuals and families in the development and implementation of philanthropic programs with the knowledge and tools needed to help clients reach their charitable giving objectives while also helping them meet their estate planning and wealth management goals.

Candidates for the CAP® designation must complete a minimum of three courses in philanthropic studies at the Irwin Graduate School and six hours of rigorous, supervised written examinations. The curriculum addresses the advanced design, implementation and management of charitable gift techniques and strategies, as well as philanthropic tools including charitable trusts, private foundations, supporting organizations, donor-advised funds, pooled income funds and charitable gift annuities.

CAP® graduates are uniquely qualified to help charitable organizations achieve long-term financial success. In addition, professionals who have earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® designation help donors improve their communities by maximizing the effective application of their financial resources.
