Blog - The Latest at Longview

October has been a busy and exciting month for the Longview team both in and out of the office!

As many of you know, Larry has always been a great and active tennis player.  He and his team recently won the state super senior 70+ tennis championship for level 3.5 and are looking forward to the upcoming regionals tournament in Columbus, Georgia at the end of November.  Congratulations Larry and good luck with regionals!

Jeff recently took a short trip to Texas to visit his handsome new grandson, Luke Reynold Michaud.  Luke was born on October 5th at 10:23 am, weighing 8 lbs. even.  Both mom and baby are doing great and Grandma and Grandpa Cedarholm couldn’t be more elated with the new addition to the family.  Congratulations and best wishes to the Cedarholm family!

Mitch has now successfully completed his tax studies and examinations for the Enrolled Agent (“EA”) designation granted by the IRS. He is simply waiting on the IRS approval of his application to complete the IRS enrollment process.  Working towards this credential has allowed Mitch to begin to develop more specialized tax knowledge to better assist with both specific and general tax planning matters for Longview clients. Enrolled Agents are authorized by the IRS to practice and represent taxpayers in a similar fashion as CPAs and attorneys. For more information about what an Enrolled Agent is, click here.
